This mobile-first responsive website focuses on "Taking Care of One's Health," specifically targeting fitness, nutrition, and accountability. As an RN, I often encounter cardiac patients with modifiable risk factors like high cholesterol, obesity, hypertension, diabetes, inactivity, and poor nutrition. These experiences inspire my desire to promote adherence and accountability in healthy living.
I designed a fitness app that unites neighbors to workout together, fostering fitness and camaraderie. By creating a sense of community, the app makes healthy living more engaging and sustainable. The goal is to offer an informative, practical, and social solution to health improvement challenges, supporting long-term adherence and accountability, and reducing modifiable risk factors linked to chronic diseases.
Secondary Research
Squad and My Accountability prioritize group accountability and personal training, respectively, but face challenges with setup processes and interface appeal. MVT Fitness offers a robust exercise library but struggles with payment structures, while My Workout Group fosters motivation through group interactions yet lacks built-in workout content.

POV STATEMENTS
• I’d like to explore ways to help those engaged in physical activity to
connect with likeminded individuals because it will help them stay
accountable
• I thought individuals preferred working out independently, but after
talking to people I learned they prefer engaging in exercise within a
group setting; therefore, I’d like to find ways to connect them with
other likeminded people
HMW Question:
How might we utilize our communities around us to improve our social and physical lives?
